Every day millions of people use Spotify. It is a big platform, and hundreds of thousands of users log into it daily. Spotify doesn’t allow them to start the app without logging in, so they need to log in to use it. In this article, I’m going to discuss How to Login to Spotify.

How to Login to Spotify on Mobile App

When you open Spotify app on your mobile phone, the first thing you see under the text “Millions of songs. Free on Spotify.” are three Options:

  • Sign up for free.
  • Continue with Google.
  • Continue with Facebook.
  • Login.

If you’ve been using Spotify before and have a Spotify account, You can simply log in. But If you are new to Spotify, you can select 2nd option “Continue with Google” and sign in with Google, or select 3rd option “Continue with Facebook” to sign in with your Facebook account.

Or you can choose the first option “Sign up for free” which I personally recommend. Now you have to create an account in easy steps.

  • First enter your Email address.
  • Create a password which should be at least 8 characters long.
  • Select your date of birth.

Note: The minimum age requirement for Spotify is 13 years old.

  • Choose your gender: Female, Male, Or Prefer not to say.
  • Enter your user name.

Then Spotify will ask you to “Turn on notifications”. You can rather turn on notifications or select not now. Then you will need to follow 3 artists. You can skip this part by tapping on the back button.

Congratulations, You have now logged into your Spotify app. Enjoy your favorite music or listen to podcasts with ease.

How to Login to Spotify on Desktop Browser

Logging in to Spotify on a Desktop browser is a little different than on a Mobile app, But equally easy. First, go to Sign up – Spotify, Then:

  • Enter your Email address.
  • Create a password.

Note: Your password must consist of at least 1 letter, 10 characters, 1 number, or a special character i.e. # ? ! &.

  • Enter your Name, Date of birth, and Gender.
  • Now check the Terms & Conditions. ( You can skip this part without ticking any option and click “Sign up”.

This will bring you to a page where you will be asked to download Spotify Desktop app. Don’t worry you have logged into your Spotify account and can use it on your browser.

How to Login to Spotify on Desktop App

When you open Spotify Desktop App, you see Login and Sign up. If you choose to login, you will get option to login. If you have facebook or google account, you can login with those. Otherwise to login with Spotify account:

  • Give your Email.
  • Enter your password.

Then you will be logged in to your Spotify Desktop App. Finally to log out:

  • Click on your profile picture.
  • Click on Logout button.
